Starting young horses using Natural Horsemanship
CURRENTLY NOT TAKING ANY NEW BOOKINGS
My passion is starting young horses using Natural Horsemanship based on old American Indian techniques and beliefs. I aim to produce a relaxed, trusting, responsive and healthy mount for the owner to go on with.
All horses are wormed on arrival. Each horse has his/her own yard, gets fed twice daily (prime lucerne, pellets, oaten/wheaton chaff & added salt). Feet are barefoot trimmed as needed while in my care (there is no additional charge). Horses receive training seven days a week. Horses are rugged (owner to supply rug).
Current pricing is $250 per week (first week payable on arrival). Minimum of two weeks required.
It is a prerequisite that you have your horse's teeth attended to (I use EVDS) prior to starting them under saddle. This will eliminate any potential problems they might have from the bit causing pain on sensitive/damaged teeth.
I also recommend getting a bodywork or chiropractic session for your horse prior to starting under saddle to make sure they are sound, injury free and have nothing out of joint.
Located 25 mins from Grafton NSW. We are situated in Blaxlands Creek, just outside of Coutts Crossing on 100 acres with hilly bush trails at our back door and access to flatter farmland out to the side.
